Poverty and illiteracy rates are reported to actually be on the rise as Haiti’s economy shrinks and remittances from family and friends now account for nearly 40% of the island nation’s GDP. Then we talk with author and scholar Matthew Alford about his recent book: National Security Cinema: The Shocking New Evidence of Government Control in Hollywood.
