Today on a Special Edition Flashpoints, We devote the entire show to The Libros Traficante Caravan to Break the Book Ban: We Speak to the main organizer about what it felt like to arrive with over a thousand banned books arrives in Tucson and what comes next: Also we’ll hear an inpassioned speech by banned poet, Lorna De Cervantes, who greeted and spoke to the the Caravan along the way: And we’ll expand the discussion on the Tucson ban about the roll the larger progressive community should be playing, with Rudolfo Acuna, whose book, occupied America was the first to be banned.
