reported violence of Lavalas
towards the Opposition, but what is not being reported is the
increasing violence of the Opposition against suspected members of
Lavalas party. While the US and France squeezes the Haitian
government, they actively fund grass roots organizations that undermine

In 1994 the Zapatista Army of National Liberation declared war for justice against the Mexican government and occupied the state of Chiapas. In the last 10 years since the uprising, the Zapatistas have with great difficulty and determination created an infrastructure of government for the people, of the people and by the people.
