Today on Flashpoints, we feature an entire hour devoted to reports and analysis of the situation in Venezuela. First we’re joined by Flashpoints analyst for the Caribbean and Latin America, Jeanette Charles. Then we go to Caracas, Venezuela for an update on the situation on the ground with William Camacaro, a Senior Analyst with the Council on Hemispheric Affairs and a producer at our sister station WBAI in NY for the show La Voz Latina. Finally, we go to Canada for a conversation with Raul Burbano of Common Frontiers who was part of a large Canadian delegation that observed the last presidential elections in Venezuela. Mr. Urbano gives his answer to the question, were the elections fraudulent or were they free and fair?

  • Musicians!!

We're searching for great new music produced by independent musicians and members of our global audience, so that we can be as non-corporate and copyright-free as possible. All genres -- from blues to electronica to world beats -- welcome!

We like smart, political and well-produced music -- and are especially in search of possible new theme instrumentals. Please send it to Flashpoints, c/o KPFA, 1929 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, CA 94704, or email your Mp3s at flashpointsproducer@gmail.com with full descriptions and credits.
