Today on Flashpoints: We continue our drumbeat coverage of the Egyptian People’s Revolt against 30 years of iron-fisted rule by US Supported Strong man, Hosni Mubarak:We’ll talk to an Egyptian Psychiatrist, who has treated the victims of the torturous regime, hear from a seasoned journalist whose family came under attack by Mubarak’s armed thugs, and get a report from a graduate student at the American University in Cairo, who has been documenting the Community Watch programs which have sprung up around the city to self-protect family and property: We’ll also have some sounds from a spirited Rally and March over the weekend in San Francisco in support of the Egyptian People

  • Musicians!!

We're searching for great new music produced by independent musicians and members of our global audience, so that we can be as non-corporate and copyright-free as possible. All genres -- from blues to electronica to world beats -- welcome!

We like smart, political and well-produced music -- and are especially in search of possible new theme instrumentals. Please send it to Flashpoints, c/o KPFA, 1929 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, CA 94704, or email your Mp3s at flashpointsproducer@gmail.com with full descriptions and credits.
