Today on Flashpoints, we investigate Monsanto corporation’s attempts to pass a rider in a upcoming congressional bill to get around a court decision backing the Department of Agriculture’s oversight of genetically modified crops. We then go to Paraguay to look into the roll that Monsanto and other agribusinesses may have played in the ousting of President Fernando Lugo. Finally we talk with filmmaker Abdallah Omeish about his new film covering the 2008-2009 Israeli attacks on Gaza called The War Around Us.
