Today on Flashpoints on the 44th day of the California prisoners’ hunger strike, we speak with Azadeh Zohrabi, one of the spokesperson’s for the Prisoner Hunger Strike Solidarity Coalition about the recent judge ruling to forcefeed inmates and resuscitate them even if they have signed do-not-resuscitate orders. Next, we feature a discussion regarding Lebanon’s increasing quandary with Syria’s conflict and how the US is involved. Then, we take a further look into Syria’s conflict spilling into Jordan and the new U.S. base built in Jordan. Finally, we canvass tools for digital civil disobedience in response to the NSA’s surveillance snooping.

We're searching for great new music produced by independent musicians and members of our global audience, so that we can be as non-corporate and copyright-free as possible. All genres -- from blues to electronica to world beats -- welcome!

We like smart, political and well-produced music -- and are especially in search of possible new theme instrumentals. Please send it to Flashpoints, c/o KPFA, 1929 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, CA 94704, or email your Mp3s at flashpointsproducer@gmail.com with full descriptions and credits.
